How the story began ↓
It started with a father, a son, and a typewriter.
Isaac was twenty-two, sitting in a coffee shop with his first laptop. He opened a blank document and wrote a scene: a father giving his son an antique typewriter, then leaving the bedroom door open just enough to keep the dark at bay.
He didn’t have a plot. He didn’t have an ending. But he had the beginning of Georgie.
What followed included 4:30 a.m. writing sessions, a manuscript full of red ink, long stretches away from the story, and the decision to come back. His wife, Frayde, read early chapters on her way to work. Two paintings he sold at an art festival paid for his first editor.
Years of learning and rewriting turned that single scene into Georgie Summers and the Scribes of Scatterplot.

Isaac lives on Long Island with Frayde and their children. Before Scatterplot became a book, there were oil paintings, art festivals, a master’s degree in industrial and organizational psychology, and a growing advertising business.
He founded AdVenture Media, where he works in advertising and teaches marketing. In his fiction, the ambition is simpler: tell a story that makes someone want to turn the page.
